Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ahab Arab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arab misses with a head kick.
Arab throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Arab throws a sloppy head kick and Reyes moves out of range easily.

and Arab counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Reyes throws a right and a left that both miss.
Arab pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Arab is breathing heavily.
Reyes blocks a head kick by Arab.
Arab tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Arab misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Arab blocks the body kick.

Reyes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Reyes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Arab defends it well.

Reyes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Arab doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reyes.

Reyes wants to work for an arm triangle but Arab is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Reyes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Arab is trying to stand up here but Reyes is controlling him well.

Reyes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arab is just riding it out for now. Reyes eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reyes looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Reyes is working for a submission of some sort.
Arab wants to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Arab tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Arab lands a high kick to the side of Reyes's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Arab dives into guard, looking to finish.

Reyes is rocked!

It looks like Josh Reyes has been cut.

Arab avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reyes is still in real trouble! Can Arab finish him?
Arab has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Reyes is proving hard to escape from.
Reyes seems to have recovered his senses.

Reyes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Arab is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reyes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Arab's back instead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Reyes is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Arab won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Reyes off his unconscious opponent!
