The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemmer lands with a right hand.
Player ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hemmer moves away.
A combination from Player does no damage.
Player falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hemmer counters with an inside leg kick.
John Player seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hemmer cracks a nice hook into Player's ribs.
Player misses the body punch

and Hemmer counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Player is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hemmer to keep the fight standing.
Player is trying to drag Hemmer to the mat but Hemmer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Player wants to break the clinch but can't.

Hemmer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Player looks to land a combination but Hemmer avoids it well.

A telegraphed right hand from Player misses the target.
Nice defenses there by Hemmer.
A punch lands to the side of Player 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hemmer shoots in for a takedown but Player shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Hemmer has closed the distance and engaged Player in a clinch.

Hemmer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Hemmer Throws a clean left jab. Hemmer Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Player's chin! Player crumbles to the ground and Hemmer follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Hemmer!
