The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evensemen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Huuhkaja connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Huuhkaja throws an overhand right that lands on Evensemen's shoulder, as Evensemen tries to avoid the shot.
Huuhkaja misses with a takedown attempt - Evensemen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Evensemen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Martin Huuhkaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evensemen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Huuhkaja throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Evensemen's waist but Evensemen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Huuhkaja off to one side.

Evensemen leaves Huuhkaja with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Evensemen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Huuhkaja sprawls well. Huuhkaja wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Evensemen gets slowly back to his feet.

Evensemen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Huuhkaja tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Evensemen is in Huuhkaja's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Huuhkaja working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Evensemen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Huuhkaja is tightening it up a little... Evensemen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Evensemen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Evensemen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Huuhkaja!
