Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Houses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Frankenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Houses!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doctor Frankenstein!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankenstein with a poor takedown
and Houses counters with a nice body kick.
Frankenstein shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Houses but Houses pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Houses really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Houses clinches with his opponent.

Frankenstein is trying to trip Houses. He has hold of a leg but Houses is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Frankenstein persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Houses lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Frankenstein!

Houses looking to ground and pound but Frankenstein is blocking nicely.

Houses is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Frankenstein to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Frankenstein shrugs it off.

Houses's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frankenstein holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Houses tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Houses tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Poor strikes thrown by Houses there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Houses controlling the position easily from mount.
Houses sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Houses sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Houses will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Houses seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Frankenstein for as long as he can get away with.
Houses wants to control the pace but Frankenstein is squirming around nicely.

Frankenstein is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Houses swats away the attempt to clinch by Frankenstein.
Frankenstein looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Houses is fending him off so far but Frankenstein persists. Nope, Houses circles away and we're back to standing.

Houses drives through and clinches with Frankenstein against the cage.
Frankenstein drops down looking for an ankle pick but Houses pulls his leg out and moves away.
Frankenstein tries for a takedown but Houses sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dave Houses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doctor Frankenstein.
Frankenstein tries to clinch but Houses is having none of it.

Houses fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Frankenstein sprawls well initially but Houses persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Houses seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Frankenstein does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, if Houses is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Houses is trying to control the action in half guard but Frankenstein is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Houses with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dave Houses just wasn't active enough.
Frankenstein takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Frankenstein throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Houses's waist but Houses gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frankenstein off to one side.
Houses keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Frankenstein.
Frankenstein walks forward, straight into a front kick from Houses.

Houses looking to score a takedown here. Frankenstein is defending well but Houses drives through and ends up in Frankenstein's guard.
Frankenstein is breathing heavily.
Houses advances position into side control!
Houses moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Houses is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frankenstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Houses decides to stand back up. Houses steps back and let's Frankenstein get back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Frankenstein.

Frankenstein gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Frankenstein keeping moving, preventing Houses from controlling successfully.
Frankenstein utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Houses stands up from Frankenstein's guard - Houses perhaps looking for a knockout.

Houses shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Frankenstein manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Frankenstein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Frankenstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Houses is controlling him.
Houses forces his way into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Houses looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Houses dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Frankenstein is defended easily by Houses.
Houses doesn't manage to clinch there - Frankenstein circles away.
Houses lands with a shot to the body.
Frankenstein has his takedown stuffed
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Frankenstein shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Houses counters with a takedown into side control.
Dave Houses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doctor Frankenstein.
Frankenstein is letting Houses control him for a moment.
Houses is working Frankenstein over with some ground and pound from side control.
Frankenstein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Houses remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Houses decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Frankenstein misses with a jab to the body

and Houses decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Frankenstein's guard.

Houses trying to control the position from guard on top but Frankenstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Houses is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Dave Houses wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Houses has taken the fight to the clinch.

Frankenstein is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Houses tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dave Houses showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Houses has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
