Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Genma Saotome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saotome comes to the cage accompanied by Everybody's Fool. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genma Saotome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John White!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White scores with a takedown into Saotome's guard.
Saotome trying to keep a closed guard but White is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saotome wants to stand but White is controlling the position.
White controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Saotome is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst White is controlling him.
Saotome tries to strike from the bottom.
White seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Saotome is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Saotome will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
White drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Saotome wants to sweep but no luck.
White stays in close to Saotome's body and controls the position.
Saotome really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John White wasn't active enough on the ground.
White scores a takedown into full mount!

Saotome wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Saotome wants to escape the position.
Saotome holding both White 's hands and preventing any damage.
Saotome tries to escape but White has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Saotome is breathing heavily.

I would not like to be Saotome right now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John White wasn't active enough on the ground.
Saotome displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from White.
Saotome wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance.
White gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saotome to score an easy takedown into full guard.

White working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Saotome doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Saotome manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
White has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Saotome should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, White has tightened it up now! Saotome should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
