Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shamil Basaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Feijo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feijo has chosen "Going out West" Tom Waits as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chico Feijo!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basaev dodges the punch combination from Feijo.
Basaev ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Feijo moves away.
Feijo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Basaev backs up against the cage.

Feijo closes the distance and clinches.
Feijo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Basaev has had enough of the clinch but Feijo keeps him there for the moment.

Feijo pulls guard effortlessly.
Feijo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Basaev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Feijo on the ground.
Basaev is squirming around, avoiding Feijo's attempts to control the action.
Basaev is looking to improve his position but Feijo isn't that keen on the idea.

Basaev is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Feijo tries to control but Basaev wriggling away.

Feijo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Feijo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Feijo throws a sloppy strike and Basaev uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Basaev has ended up in Feijo's guard.

Feijo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Basaev should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Feijo has tightened it up now! Basaev should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
