Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel is looking to clinch but Kowalski is avoiding it.
Kowalski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Steel.
Steel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kowalski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Steel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kowalski counters with a three punch combo that has Steel backing up. Steel nods at Kowalski to acknowledge the strikes.
Kowalski leaves Steel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Steel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kowalski avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steel just misses with a punch to the body.

Steel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kowalski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Steel somewhat.

Kowalski closes the distance and clinches.
Steel wants to get back to striking at distance but Kowalski won't allow it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kowalski can't find room to land a body shot as Steel controls the action.
Kowalski wants to break free but Steel has control.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kowalski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kowalski has had enough of the clinch but Steel keeps him there for the moment.
Kowalski tries to circle away but Steel has him pinned against the cage.
Kowalski tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kowalski wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Steel has him pressed against the cage.
Steel jumps guard but Kowalski stands there with Steel around his waist. Steel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kowalski has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Steel is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Steel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kowalski wants to stand up but Steel is controlling him.

Steel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kowalski is on top in guard.
Steel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Steel closes the distance and clinches up with Kowalski, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes Kowalski against the cage but Kowalski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Steel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Steel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kowalski swivels and escapes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kowalski lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Kowalski throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Steel blocks it with crossed arms.

A frustrated look appears on Steel's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kowalski is trying to force a seperation but Steel has the dominant position.

Kowalski tries to pull guard but Steel holds him up against the cage and eventually Kowalski drops back down to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kowalski is pressed up against the cage. Steel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kowalski down to the mat. Kowalski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Steel looks for a takedown but Kowalski sprawls well.

Steel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kowalski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steel has managed to get both his arms back between Kowalski's legs - danger averted.

Kowalski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nice straight punches there by Kowalski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kowalski.
Steel takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Kowalski shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Steel tries to bum rush Kowalski with a series of wild strikes but Kowalski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That kick from Steel tenderised Kowalski's leg. Kowalski is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kowalski moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kowalski catches Steel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Steel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Well Kowalski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
