PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Bonney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Crazy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonney comes to the cage accompanied by public enemy number 1. Crazy has chosen Crazy Train as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Bonney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Crazy!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crazy swats away the attempt to clinch by Bonney.
Crazy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bonney.
Crazy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Crazy throws a jab when Bonney was well out of range.
Bonney fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bonney's corner calls for a 1-2. Bonney obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bonney is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Crazy throws a big shot that misses.
Bonney moves away from the strike by Crazy.
Crazy just misses with a punch to the body.

Bonney throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Crazy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bonney is in Crazy's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Crazy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bonney's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crazy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Crazy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bonney has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crazy has managed to get both his arms back between Bonney's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bonney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Joe Crazy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonney takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Oh Bonney is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bonney tries to improve position but can't.
Bonney takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bonney sneaks back into half guard.
Crazy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bonney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Crazy winds up and cracks Bonney with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Crazy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Crazy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bonney is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Crazy pulls his head out easily.

Crazy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Crazy distracts Bonney with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Crazy passes Bonney's left leg - he's now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Crazy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bonney with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Joe Crazy will probably get the nod.

Bonney closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Crazy did well to prevent Bonney getting side control.

Bonney displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Crazy throws out the jab.

Bonney is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Crazy's half guard.

Crazy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bonney gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crazy is on top in guard.

Crazy has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bonney to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Crazy is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bonney pulls down on the head and he's put Crazy to sleep! This one is all over!
