Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Skinner!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Skinner on the side of the head.
Skinner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Skinner is defended easily by Nelson.
Nelson digs a good hook to Skinner's body.
Skinner misses the shot to the body.
Nelson jabs Skinner to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nelson lands a slapping body shot.
Jake Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skinner misses with a lunging right hand

and Nelson counters with a shoot takedown. Skinner fights it but they end up in guard.
Nelson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nelson is working Skinner over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skinner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nelson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Skinner is staying active underneath Nelson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Nelson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Skinner is just riding it out for now. Nelson eventually gives up the hold.

Nelson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skinner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Nelson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Skinner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nelson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Skinner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nelson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Skinner takes one on the button.
Nelson lands with a shot to the body.
Skinner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nelson counters with a straight right hand.
Skinner drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Skinner takes a body punch but keeps moving.

enabling Nelson to counter with a crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skinner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nelson cracks a nice hook into Skinner's ribs.
Nelson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Skinners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Skinner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nelson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
