Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rhyme Thyme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Irmeli Kosonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thyme comes to the cage accompanied by Matisyahu - Live Reggae. Kosonen has chosen Kolovrat - Blood of Patriots as his entrance music. Irmeli Kosonen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rhyme Thyme's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rhyme Thyme!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Irmeli Kosonen!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosonen misses with a two punch combination.
Kosonen throws a lazy right hand but Thyme sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thyme drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kosonen is on top in guard.
Kosonen stands and steps away. Thyme gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Thyme shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kosonen as he jumps to the side.
A left and a right from Kosonen both land. Nice combination.
Thyme fails with the takedown.
Kosonen scores with a nice strike.
Thyme is rocked!
Thyme shoots for a double leg takedown but Kosonen sprawls well. He's pushed Thyme's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oh Thyme is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rhyme Thyme. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thyme looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kosonen lands a right hand from hell, dropping Thyme. Kosonen pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Irmeli Kosonen!
