The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler fails to land the takedown.

Fowler is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Goone has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Goone!
Goone wanted to stand there but Fowler had control of the position.

Fowler manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Goone is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Fowler jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Goone is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Goone and Fowler has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fowler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fowler has hold of Goone's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Goone tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Fowler cranks the arm and Goone screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Goone, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
