Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandy Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astra comes to the cage accompanied by Once in a Lifetime. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hawkins's choice of entrance music: Enter Sandman. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amadeus Astra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sandy Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins lands a slapping body shot.
Astra lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hawkins circles away quickly and effectively.
Astra fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hawkins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Astra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hawkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Astra.
Hawkins lands with a nice body punch.
Hawkins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Astra throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hawkins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Astra misses the shot to the body.
Nice body punch from Astra.
Astra swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hawkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Astra fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hawkins drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Astra escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hawkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Astra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hawkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Astra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hawkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hawkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Astra looking for a sweep. Not yet Astra, not yet.
Astra has his foot on Hawkins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hawkins works his way back into a safe position though.
Hawkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Astra is retaining full guard.
Hawkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Astra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hawkins has managed to get both his arms back between Astra's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hawkins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Astra looking for a guillotine here but Hawkins defends easily.

Astra looking for a triangle here. Hawkins is fighting it but it looks tight! Astra pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hawkins is tapping out - this one is all over!
