PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Tuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tuck's choice of entrance music: It's A Fight. Jon Tuck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bones Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Tuck!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuck throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
Tuck swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tuck trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones stands up and waves to Tuck to follow him.
Tuck takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Tuck throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.

Tuck misses with a looping left.
Tuck tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Tuck.
Tuck bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Tuck gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jones distracts Tuck with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jones throws a big elbow that misses.
Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Jones stands up from Tuck's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jon Tuck is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tuck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tuck dodges the ground and pound from Jones.

Jones happy to just control the position for now.
Jones misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jones moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jones is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Tuck is trying to escape and Jones transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Tuck is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jones! Very nice indeed!
