Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Vegas!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fails with the takedown.
Jackson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vegas swivels and escapes.

Jackson has Vegas up against the cage in a clinch.
Vegas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Vegas to the mat.

Vegas is trying to stick to Jackson's back but Jackson is turning into Vegas. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Vegas's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jackson.

Vegas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Vegas getting side control.

That was a close round but I would say that James Jackson will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jackson has Vegas pressed against the cage, preventing Vegas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Vegas is pushing Jackson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vegas just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jackson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Vegas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Vegas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jackson has hold of one of Vegas's legs. Vegas is fighting the takedown attempt but Jackson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

James Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Junior Vegas.
