Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waldemar Kasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joyce drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kasta is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Joyce wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kasta keeps working.

Joyce decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kasta to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kasta.
Kasta tries to clinch up
and Joyce counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Joyce swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Joyce wants to stand and escape but instead Kasta has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Joyce is looking to stand up but Kasta isn't so interested in that idea.

Joyce pushes Kasta off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Kasta tries to sprawl but Joyce drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Joyce has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Kasta works to full guard.

Kasta uses the cage to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joyce takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Kasta drives through and clinches with Joyce against the cage.

Kasta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Waldemar Kasta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Joyce avoids the head kick by Kasta.
Joyce throws a combination. Kasta tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Joyce misses with the combination.
Waldemar Kasta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kasta lands a nice leg kick that just misses Joyce's sensitive parts.
Kasta throws a nice outside leg kick.
Joyce misses with a double jab.
Joyce throws a nice looking combination but Kasta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Joyce closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kasta fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Joyce has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kasta's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kasta is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Joyce tries to break free but Kasta pushes him back against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kasta postures up in Joyce's guard and throws a big left but Joyce blocks it.

Kasta bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kasta misses with the combination.
Joyce moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kasta dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Joyce. That did some damage!

Joyce tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Kasta gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Joyce to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kasta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joyce rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kasta moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Joyce lands with a nice combination. Kasta backs away looking to recover.
