MacLain has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. Shane MacLain acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Old Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane MacLain!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLain blocks a low kick nicely.
Man throws a lazy head kick
and MacLain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

MacLain looking to score a takedown here. Man is defending well but MacLain drives through and ends up in Man's guard.
MacLain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Man wants to stand up but MacLain is controlling him.
Man avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Man wants to stand up but MacLain is controlling him.
Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for MacLain on the ground.
MacLain is looking to work some ground and pound but Man has wrist control.
MacLain cracks Man with a solid left hand.
MacLain scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
MacLain wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MacLain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Man wants to stand and escape but MacLain is having none of it.
MacLain is stalling in the full guard.
Man wants to get back to his feet but MacLain is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
MacLain throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
MacLain cracks Man with a solid left hand.
Man avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

MacLain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Man on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Man tries to get out of the position.
Man utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
MacLain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
MacLain stops Man from standing up.
MacLain postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
MacLain throwing strikes but missing.
Man is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst MacLain is controlling him.
MacLain postures up in Man's guard and throws a big left but Man blocks it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
MacLain wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Man scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Man throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Man has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by MacLain.
MacLain avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

MacLain gets a double leg takedown into Man's guard.
Man is looking to stand up but MacLain isn't so interested in that idea.

Man is working an open guard so MacLain takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
MacLain moves out of range of the body kick from Man.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MacLain.
Man tries to work over MacLain's front leg with a kick but MacLain checks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
MacLain misses with a takedown attempt - Man sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Man throws a nice head kick!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Man.
Old Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Man wants to land a leg kick but MacLain is out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Man.
MacLain avoids the head kick by Man.
MacLain fails to land the takedown.
Old Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane MacLain.
MacLain looks gassed!
Man throws a low kick but it's checked well by MacLain.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man is looking to clinch.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Man throws a sloppy head kick
and MacLain counters with a left and a right that stings Man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane MacLain dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A low kick from Man is predictable there
and MacLain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Man closes the distance and pushes MacLain back into the cage.

Man manages to break the clinch.
MacLain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Man but Man pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Man throws a leg kick but MacLain sees it coming and checks it nicely.
MacLain avoids a kick to the body.
MacLain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Man sprawls well. Man wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MacLain gets slowly back to his feet.
Shane MacLain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

MacLain tries to keep at a distance but Man has taken the fight into the clinch.
Man wants a takedown but no success here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
MacLain has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Man avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Old Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane MacLain.
MacLain can't break the clinch.

MacLain drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but MacLain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

MacLain throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
MacLain is breathing heavily.

Man drops back looking for a leg! MacLain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and MacLain manages to kick Man off! Man jumps back into MacLain's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as MacLain holds on and takes a little breather.

MacLain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Man thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
MacLain is trying to control the position but Man postures up.
Man trying to control but MacLain is working from the bottom.

MacLain has his feet on Man's thighs here. He's pushed Man off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Man screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shane MacLain!
