Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karlsson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bortman throws a head kick but Karlsson moves out of range.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bortman works over Karlsson's head and body with a nice combination.
Bortman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Totto Karlsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karlsson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Karlsson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bortman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Karlsson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bortman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Karlsson.
Bortman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Karlsson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Karlsson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bortman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Karlsson throws out a loose jab but Bortman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Karlsson tries to clinch but Bortman moves out of range.
Karlsson thows a left - swing and a miss!
A slapping leg kick lands for Bortman.
Karlsson looks gassed!
Karlsson throws an overhand right that lands on Bortman's shoulder, as Bortman tries to avoid the shot.

Karlsson tries to close the distance and clinch but Bortman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bortman lands a big right hand that sends Karlsson crashing to the mat! Bortman stays standing though and waves Karlsson back to his feet!
Karlsson is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bortman sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Karlsson's defenses. It connects perfectly with Karlsson's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Bortman!
