Davids fails with a takedown attempt.
Davids drops Lother with a beautiful combination! Lother stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Davids is looking for the KO!
It looks like Tom Lother has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davids looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Davids is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Davids shoots in for a takedown and gets it, with a heavy slam. That will score well with the judges.
Lother is rocked!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Davids is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lother is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lother has escaped and now he's on top!
Oh Lother is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lother has gone for a leg lock! Davids slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lother's guard.
Lother is breathing heavily.
Davids gets to his feet and stands over Lother, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Lother felt that one! Davids unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Lother from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Davids!
