Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison King has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gustavo Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harrison King!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

King takes the fight into the clinch.
King tries to pull guard but Santos holds him up against the cage and eventually King drops back down to his feet.
King cracks Santos with a nice body shot.
Santos can't break the clinch.
Santos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. King is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

King pulls guard.
Santos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Santos throws a big right hand that misses.
Santos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
King is adopting a defensive guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

King throws a big elbow that misses.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Santos doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
King stands up over Santos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.

King looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santos pushes down on King's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
King trying to control but Santos postures up.
King is refusing to be controlled, as Santos sits in half guard.
King keeping control of the position.
Santos is stalling here. King is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Santos seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and King has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King looks up at the clock and then as Santos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, King smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
King throws a strike aimed at the side of Santos's head but Santos avoids it well.
King lands an elbow.
King in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
King misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Santos to escape.
King connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Santos some visible discomfort.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King laying and praying for a moment but Santos takes advantage and regains half guard.
Santos regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison King dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


King tries to clinch up but Santos circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos.

King closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gustavo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Santos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
King lands a jab to the nose.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

King manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Santos on his heels. He'll look to pass Santos's guard now, I'm sure.

Santos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

King is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Harrison King was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Santos misses with a two punch combination.
Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustavo Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King lands a jab to the head.
King jabs Santos right on the nose. Santos blinks but takes it well.

King drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Santos is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Santos takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Santos is looking for a sweep.
King grinds an elbow into Santos's temple.

King working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King throws an elbow but Santos slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and King holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The referee calls for Santos to work.

King breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Santos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and King counters with a single leg into guard. Santos didn't expect that.

King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Santos's guard.
King prevents Santos from improving his position.
Santos is refusing to be controlled, as King sits in half guard.
King lands with a punch from half guard.
King uses his free foot to push down on Santos's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Santos.
Santos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
King lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

King fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
King controlling from the full mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

King lands with some strikes.
King looking to finish Santos with some ground and pound. This is bad for Santos!
King with shots to the head and body - Santos looks very uncomfortable down there.


Santos is rocked!
King lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Oh Santos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The referee warns Santos that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

King postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Santos in real trouble here! The ref calls for Santos to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
