Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomi Lovric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoly Karpanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovric shoots in for a double leg but Karpanov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Karpanov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lovric has a takedown stuffed.
Lovric stuffs the takedown.
Lovric looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Karpanov is fending him off so far but Lovric persists. Nope, Karpanov circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomi Lovric. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lovric fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lovric stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lovric wants it to stay on the feet.
Lovric tries to clinch up but Karpanov circles away and keeps his distance.
Karpanov swats away the attempt to clinch by Lovric.
Lovric tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lovric fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Karpanov avoids it really well and circles away.

Lovric clinches up with Karpanov and pushes him back against the cage.
Lovric jumps into guard, dragging Karpanov to the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karpanov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karpanov is in close to Lovric's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karpanov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lovric looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Karpanov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lovric's guard.
Karpanov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Karpanov connects with a nice short shot to Lovric's temple.
Lovric tries to roll over but Karpanov keeps him under control.
Lovric might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lovric is breathing heavily.
Karpanov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Karpanov gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lovric tries for a takedown but Karpanov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Karpanov tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lovric fails with a takedown attempt.
Karpanov misses with a takedown attempt - Lovric sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lovric blocks a head kick by Karpanov.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lovric misses with a takedown attempt
and Karpanov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Tomi Lovric has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Lovric. No joy for Karpanov on that attempt.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Karpanov.
Karpanov is working to tighten is grip on Lovric's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lovric has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Karpanov is really squeezing tight and eventually Lovric passes out! Karpanov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
