Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernandez has chosen Welcome to my Nightmare as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Stifler !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hector Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stifler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stifler blocks the elbow strike.

Hernandez pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hernandez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stifler controls the pace.

Stifler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hernandez dives on top into guard.
Hernandez wants to stand and escape but instead Stifler has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Stifler prevents Hernandez from getting back to his feet.
Hernandez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Stifler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Stifler goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hernandez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stifler but great work by Hernandez.

Hector Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stifler cracks Hernandez with a right hand to the side of the head.

Hernandez tries to keep at a distance but Stifler has taken the fight into the clinch.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hector Hernandez seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Stifler is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hernandez can't fight it off and eventually Stifler manages to take the fight to the floor. Hernandez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Stifler will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Stifler has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hernandez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Stifler .

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stifler , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
