Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cassius Penn!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doet circles away quickly and effectively.
Penn avoids the body shot from Doet.
Penn throws a series of punches but Doet avoids them all with ease.
A jab from Penn misses.
Doet misses the shot to the body.
Penn scores with a hook to the body. Doet takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Penn thows a left - swing and a miss!
Penn connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Doet shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Penn as he avoids it easily.
Doet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Penn moves away.
Jab from Penn.
Penn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Doet.
A telegraphed right hand from Penn misses the target.

Doet steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Penn.
Penn lands with a straight right. Doet didn't see that one coming.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Doet.
Penn throws a combination. Doet tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Doet needs to keep his hands up - Penn had a free shot at his head there.
Doet throws a wild body kick that Penn sees coming a mile off.
Doet avoids the body shot from Penn.
A slow jab from Penn misses its intended target.
Doet swings for the body but Penn moves out of range.
Penn lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Doet thows a body shot but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Penn throws a jab when Doet was well out of range.

Doet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Penn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Penn tries to improve position but can't.
Doet is looking to take a break and control but Penn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Doet wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Penn, who protects the arm well.
Doet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Penn keeps working.
Penn sneaks back into half guard.

Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Doet's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Doet's back!

Penn has managed to slip his arm under Doet's chin. This could be all over... yep, Doet is tapping out! Submission win for Penn.
