Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atlas Kivi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadashi Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masaru jabs at Kivi's body.
Kivi throws a lazy right hand but Masaru sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Masaru misses with a straight left.
Kivi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Masaru.
Masaru lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Atlas Kivi has been cut.
Kivi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A jab from Kivi misses.
Kivi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A cross from Masaru lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Masaru gets caught flat footed, as Kivi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kivi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Masaru is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kivi looking to sit in guard and control but Masaru gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kivi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Masaru is one step ahead there.
Masaru would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tadashi Masaru wasn't active enough on the ground.
Masaru misses with a looping right.
Masaru slaps away a takedown attempt from Kivi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Masaru chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kivi fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Atlas Kivi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kivi throws a hook to the side of Masaru's head but Masaru sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Masaru slips a jab and a cross from Kivi.
Horrible takedown by Kivi or perhaps it was just good defense by Masaru which made him look bad.
Kivi closes the distance and clinches up with Masaru, looking for a takedown. Kivi pushes Masaru against the cage but Masaru circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Masaru throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kivi loads up on a big right hand but Masaru slips the punch.
Masaru misses with a hook. Kivi ducked under it nicely.
Masaru throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Masaru takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kivi lands with a good body shot.

Kivi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Masaru to score with a decent uppercut.
Masaru moves into range and connects with a jab.
Masaru is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kivi.
Masaru lands with a nice body punch.
A telegraphed right hand from Kivi misses the target.
Masaru throws a body punch but Kivi moves out of range.
Tadashi Masaru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oh Kivi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kivi is breathing heavily.
Kivi gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Masaru gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
