Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mato Cicak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alek Zimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cicak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cicak lands in his opponent's guard.
Cicak working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Zimmer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Zimmer holds on and takes a little breather.

Zimmer has his foot on Cicak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cicak works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cicak keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zimmer's head.

Zimmer is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zimmer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cicak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zimmer's guard.

Cicak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zimmer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cicak has Zimmer in his guard.
