Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ren Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Stuus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie's entrance music is "Catgroove" by Parov Stelar . A fine choice. Stanley Stuus has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ren Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ren Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stanley Stuus!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stuus as he avoids it easily.
Stuus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stuus scoring well with a low kick there.
Stanley Stuus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stuus cracks the inside of Gracie's front leg.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stuus tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stuus to the ground. Stuus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ren Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gracie shoots and misses
and Stuus counters with a good low kick that Gracie was not able to check.
Gracie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stuus's waist but Stuus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.

Stuus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but Stuus pushes his legs off easily.
Stuus trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stuus is working Gracie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Stuus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stuus defends it easily.
Stuus makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stuus is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stuus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stuus chips away with some ground and pound.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stuus wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
Stuus trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stuus scores with a couple of nice shots.

Gracie has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Stuus. Oh but Gracie has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Stuus goes limp - he's gone! Gracie jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
