The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tyler throws a head kick that misses.
Verchanko throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tyler fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tyler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tyler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Verchanko works over Tyler's head and body with a nice combination.
Tyler shoots in for a takedown but Verchanko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyler tries a head kick but it misses.
Verchanko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice uppercut lands for Verchanko. That snapped Tyler's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tyler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Verchanko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Verchanko misses with a few strikes there.
Verchanko throws out a powerful jab.
Verchanko's corner calls for a 1-2. Verchanko obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tyler is rocked!
Verchanko lands a jab to Tyler's midsection.
Tyler is still on wobbly legs! Can Verchanko finish him?
Verchanko lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Tyler up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Verchanko from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Tyler's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Verchanko!
Ivan Verchanko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
