Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Unger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lars Unger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Connors!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unger fails with the takedown.

Unger has Connors up against the cage in a clinch.
Unger blocks a body shot from Connors.

Connors breaks from the clinch.
Unger is looking to clinch but Connors is avoiding it.
Unger is looking to clinch.
Connors throws a nice looking combination but Unger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice sprawl there from Unger as Connors shoots in.
Connors fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Unger throws a quick inside leg kick.

Unger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Unger postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Connors is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Unger, into his guard.

Connors stands and steps away. Unger gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Unger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Unger closes the distance and clinches up with Connors, looking for a takedown. Unger pushes Connors against the cage but Connors circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Connors displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Unger.
Connors looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Unger is fending him off so far but Connors persists. Nope, Unger circles away and we're back to standing.

Connors tries to keep at a distance but Unger has taken the fight into the clinch.

Unger is working for a submission of some sort.
Unger uses his free foot to push down on Connors's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Connors.
Unger wants to control but instead Connors manages to regain half guard.
Unger wants to take a breather but Connors is having none of it.

Unger throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Connors to regain full guard.
Unger passes into half guard.
Unger is just content to waste time from the top position. Connors takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Unger trying to control but Connors is working from the bottom.

Unger trying to stand up but can't free himself from Connors's guard.
Unger looking to pass the guard.
Lars Unger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Connors is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Unger is controlling him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Lars Unger just wasn't active enough.

Unger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Connors but Connors pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Unger is really struggling to control Connors but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Unger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Connors is just riding it out for now. Unger eventually gives up the hold.

Unger tries to stall but Connors uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A frustrated look appears on Connors's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Unger prevents Connors from breaking the clinch.
Unger pushes off an throws an elbow but Connors leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Unger blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short body shot lands from Connors as the two fighters clinch.

Connors lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Unger throws an elbow that misses.

Unger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Connors misses with an uppercut

and Unger counters with a takedown into side control.
Unger looking to control but instead Connors has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Unger throwing shots but Connors is blocking nicely.

Unger is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Connors still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Connors has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Connors has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Connors tries to break free but Unger pushes him back against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Unger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Connors's efforts to push away.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Craig Connors.
I think Connors has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
