The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makaha keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Makaha tries to clinch but fails miserably

and O Malley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

O Malley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Makaha tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and O Malley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by O Malley.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
O Malley postures up.
O Malley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Makaha's head.
Makaha is trying to control the position from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Makaha is on top in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
O Malley keeping moving, preventing Makaha from controlling successfully.

Makaha stops O Malley from standing up.
Makaha postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
O Malley can't keep his opponent in guard - Makaha advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Makaha wants to stand but O Malley has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Makaha seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but O Malley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Makaha wants to stand but his hand is trapped. O Malley uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Makaha keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of O Malley's head.
Makaha throws a strike but O Malley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Makaha on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Makaha tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
O Malley landing with the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Makaha is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Makaha wants to control from the top but O Malley keeps moving.

O Malley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Makaha wants to get up but he can't break O Malley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Makaha stands up over O Malley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Makaha wants to pass the guard but O Malley is keeping the position.
Makaha trying to control the position from guard on top but O Malley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Makaha prevents O Malley from getting back to his feet.

Makaha not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Makaha loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hiapo Makaha has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
O Malley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Makaha throws a combination. O Malley tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

O Malley is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Makaha Throws a clean left jab. Makaha Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with O Malley's chin! O Malley crumbles to the ground and Makaha follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Makaha!

Hiapo Makaha really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that PRIME DESIGNS logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
