PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Bauer struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bauer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Anderson is in Bauer's guard.
Bauer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Anderson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bauer wants to sweep but no luck.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Bauer keeps moving.
Bauer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Craig Anderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anderson is pressed up against the cage. Bauer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Anderson down to the mat. Anderson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Anderson looks to land a body kick but Bauer moved away.
Anderson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Anderson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bauer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anderson throws a head kick but Bauer moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Anderson. Those never looked like landing.
Bauer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Anderson.

Anderson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bauer was covering up waiting for the punch and Anderson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Anderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Bauer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Anderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bauer wants to improve his position but instead Anderson has moved into half guard.

Anderson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bauer tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Anderson!
