The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boom.
Boom Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom shoots in looking for a takedown but James manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boom's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boom tries to clinch there but James circles away.
Boom on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
James lands a jab to the nose.

Boom moves into range and clinches up with James.
Boom working James over with knees to the body.
Boom tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boom Boom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Boom tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and James avoids it.
Boom has James pressed against the cage, preventing James from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boom shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Boom's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but James paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boom closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming James to the mat! James manages to get full guard.

James had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boom defends it easily.

James wants to get back to his feet but Boom is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

James manages to escape and get back to his feet.

and James counters with a right hand to the body.

Boom shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard.

James pulls Boom in close to prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boom is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.
Boom tries to clinch but fails miserably
and James counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Boom.

James gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
James is trying to force a seperation but Boom has the dominant position.
Boom is looking to take this one to the mat.
Boom throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but James blocks it with crossed arms.

James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boom is defended easily by James.
Boom fails with the takedown.

James lands a left and a right that send Boom crashing to the mat, dazed. James thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Boom Boom has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boom attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

James moves into range and clinches up with Boom.

James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
James lands with a hook. Boom tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Boom is rocked!
James drops Boom with a huge uppercut! Boom drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. James is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
