Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gim Ruut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spox Beard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruut comes to the cage accompanied by Down From The Sky - Trivium. Beard is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Spock's Beard - The Great Nothing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruut throws a leg kick but Beard sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Beard lands a big head kick that sends Ruut tumbling to the mat! Beard takes a step backwards and waves Ruut back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ruut is rocked!

It looks like Gim Ruut has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Ruut is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Beard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ruut changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beard tries to avoid it but Ruut manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beard to the ground. Beard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Beard gets caught flat footed, as Ruut shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Ruut drops back looking for a leg! Beard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beard manages to kick Ruut off! Ruut jumps back into Beard's guard.

Ruut postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Beard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ruut, into his guard.

Ruut is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beard is just riding it out for now. Ruut eventually gives up the hold.

Beard lands an elbow inside that Ruut shrugs off.
Ruut tries to score a body lock takedown but Beard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Beard pushes off an throws an elbow but Ruut leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
