Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dai doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Tequila counter with a right hand.
Dai jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dai fails with a takedown attempt.
Tequila scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tequila's waist but Tequila gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dai off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Dai. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tequila turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Dai tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tequila sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dai somewhat.
Tequila throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dai.
Tequila misses with a head kick.
Dai throws the left hand but Tequila avoids the punch easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dai looks for a takedown but Tequila sprawls well.

Dai shoots in but no luck this time.
Dai throws an off balance right hand
and Tequila counters with a nice kick to the body.
Dai misses with a takedown attempt
and Tequila counters with a nice kick to the body.
Dai is breathing heavily.
Tequila connects with a leg kick. Dai looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Tequila looks to land a combination. Dai sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jack Tequila is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tequila moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Tequila walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Dai drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Tequila swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Dai's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Tequila! Jack Tequila retains his welterweight title!
Our winner, Jack Tequila, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
