Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Daunts !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Burnett!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daunts gets tackled into the cage by Burnett. Burnett maintains the clinch.
Daunts looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Burnett is pressed up against the cage. Daunts has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Burnett down to the mat. Burnett avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Burnett throws a head kick but Daunts moves out of range.
Burnett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Burnett drives through with a takedown into Daunts 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Burnett wanted to stand there but Daunts had control of the position.
Burnett seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Daunts misses with a takedown attempt - Burnett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Daunts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Burnett darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daunts gets back to full guard.
Steven Burnett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Burnett must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well Burnett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
