The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Palowowski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Palowowski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Palowowski's shoulder. That is not cool.
Jackson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Jackson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Palowowski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Jackson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Palowowski is hurt! He's hurt bad - Jackson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Palowowski from any more punishment! Congratulations to Jackson! Great finish!
