Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kurt Suk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Tombstone!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suk takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Suk takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Tombstone feints and as Suk raises his hands in defense, Tombstone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Suk is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tombstone sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tombstone looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tombstone wants to pass the guard but Suk is keeping the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Suk misses the shot to the body.
Suk scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Tombstone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Suk tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tombstone is in Suk's guard.
Suk wants to sweep but no luck.

Tombstone throws an elbow that misses. Suk uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tombstone's guard. Nice move by Suk!

Tombstone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Tombstone has his foot on Suk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suk works his way back into a safe position though.

Suk trying to control the position from guard on top but Tombstone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tombstone looking for a guillotine here but Suk defends easily.

Suk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Suk passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tombstone tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A lull in the action here as Suk stalls from top position.

Tombstone gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Suk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tombstone on the ground.
Suk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tombstone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Tombstone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Suk pulls his head out easily.
Suk is trying to control the action in half guard but Tombstone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Suk is looking to take a break and control but Tombstone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Tombstone dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Tombstone cracks Suk with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Suk stuffs the takedown attempt from Tombstone. Tombstone gets slowly back to his feet.
Suk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tombstone moves away.
No luck for Tombstone with that takedown attempt.
Suk scores with a hook.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tombstone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tombstone jumps guard but Suk stands there with Tombstone around his waist. Tombstone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kurt Suk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Tombstone.
Tombstone wants to break free but Suk has control.
Suk fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Tombstone gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Tombstone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Suk on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Suk tries to get out of the position.
Tombstone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Tombstone stops Suk from standing up.
Tombstone scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Suk controls Tombstone momentarily but Tombstone frees himself.
Suk keeping full guard, as Tombstone tries to pass.
Tombstone trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Suk manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Tombstone is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Suk rolls with it to try and escape but Tombstone cranks on the arm and Suk is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Tony Tombstone gave a mention to Valhalla 160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
