The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hael with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hael throws a jab but it's blocked by Kell.
Hael tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kell swivels and escapes.
Hael throws a body kick that misses.
A jab from Kell misses.
Kell moves out of range of the strikes.
Hael on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hael is defended easily by Kell.
Kell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hael fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kell avoids it really well and circles away.

Hael buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hael throws the left hand but Kell avoids the punch easily.

Kell feints a jab promting Hael to slip. Kell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hael slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A lazy left from Kell finds it's target.

Hael shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kell's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Hael escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kell throws a shot from downtown. Hael moves away and avoids it.

Kell jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Hael shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nice uppercut lands for Kell. That snapped Hael's head back.
Kell is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Hael bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kell's guard.

Hael working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
