Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Banner.

Banner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Banner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Banner is not content to let Silva control the position.

Banner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Banner pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Banner has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banner has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
