Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julian Linguist!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowlah manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Linguist on his heels. He'll look to pass Linguist's guard now, I'm sure.
Linguist throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Linguist is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rowlah defends well.
Rowlah postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Rowlah throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Linguist looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Linguist throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Linguist will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Linguist is looking for a triangle but Rowlah pushes his legs off easily.
Linguist looking for a guillotine here but Rowlah defends easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rowlah accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rowlah is looking to work some ground and pound but Linguist has wrist control.
Linguist escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rowlah gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Linguist is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rowlah throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Linguist's body to avoid the submission. Linguist has instead reached around Rowlah's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Linguist arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Julian Linguist!
