PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Simon Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by park up pussy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Harrison!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Harrison avoids the head kick by Williams.
Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harrison sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.
Harrison tries to clinch up.
A combination from Harrison does no damage.
Harrison displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Williams.
Harrison stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Harrison wants it to stay on the feet.

Williams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harrison sprawls well initially but Williams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Harrison is looking to escape.
Harrison tries to buck Williams off but he can't manage it.
Harrison sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harrison is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold.
Harrison makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Harrison.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Simon Williams will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

OK we're going to have a standup here. James Harrison hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Williams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Harrison wants to finish this one by submission but Williams is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Harrison.

Harrison has hold of Williams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Williams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
