Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sim Heer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quaid has chosen Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls as his entrance music. Sim Heer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sim Heer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Douglas Quaid!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Heer.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Heer is defended easily by Quaid.
Heer misses with a looping left.
Heer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Quaid counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Heer thinking.
Quaid fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Heer misses with a series of wild punches.
Quaid jabs Heer right on the nose. Heer blinks but takes it well.
Heer fails with the takedown
and Quaid counters with a nice uppercut.
Quaid looks to score with a jab to the body but Heer is just out of range.
Heer misses with a double jab
and Quaid counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Heer thinking.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quaid cracks a nice hook into Heer's ribs.

and Heer counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Heer manages to break the clinch.

Quaid gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Heer wants to control from the top but Quaid keeps moving.
Quaid wants to sweep but no luck.
Quaid is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quaid is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Douglas Quaid wasn't active enough on the ground.
Heer darts in trying to clinch
and Quaid counters with a nice uppercut.
Quaid bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Heer's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quaid defending well as Heer loads up on a big left hand.
Heer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Quaid takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Quaid scores with a hook.
Heer throws a sloppy head kick and Quaid moves out of range easily.
Quaid drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Heer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Heer takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Quaid fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Heer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Heer jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Heer misses with a straight right.
Heer feints and then cracks Quaid's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quaid down.
Heer throws an off balance right hand
and Quaid counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Heer tries to score with a low kick but Quaid moves his leg out of the way.
Heer misses with a low kick.
Heer avoids the body shot from Quaid.
Heer tries to close the distance and clinch but Quaid swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Heer dives in and grabs Quaid's left leg, looking for a takedown. Quaid pushes down on Heer's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sim Heer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A cross from Heer lands.
Quaid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heer.
Quaid fails to land with a series of punches.
Heer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Heer lands a lovely overhand right.
Quaid throws a nice looking combination but Heer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Heer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Heer misses with a jab to the body

and Quaid counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Heer preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Quaid thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Douglas Quaid dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A clash of legs there as Quaid blocks the low kick.
Quaid checks the leg kick nicely there.
Heer looks to clinch
enabling Quaid to counter with a crisp jab.
Sim Heer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Quaid.
Quaid shoots in but Heer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Quaid on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Heer moves in looking to clinch but Quaid pushes him off.
Heer tries to score with a low kick but Quaid moves his leg out of the way.
Quaid's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Quaid duly obliges.
Quaid avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Heer misses with a wild combination.

Quaid moves forwards but Heer connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Quaid shoots in and drives through. Heer sprawls well.
Quaid has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Quaid there as he acknowledges the shot.
Heer misses with a hook

and Quaid counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Heer!
Quaid scoring with strikes but Heer is staying in there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quaid content just to control the position here.
Quaid looking to control but Heer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Heer sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Quaid seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Heer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
