Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Bourne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jessie James!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James connects with a jab.


It looks like Jason Bourne has been cut.
James is looking to clinch.
James pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

James fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bourne sprawls well initially but James persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

James stands up out of the half guard.

James has Bourne up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Bourne jumps guard and drags James to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
James postures up in Bourne's guard and throws a big left but Bourne blocks it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
James is in close to Bourne's body, working some short punches and elbows.

James decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bourne, up you get!

James gets a double leg takedown into Bourne's guard.

James wants to control from the top but Bourne keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
James is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jessie James.
Bourne stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet.
James looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bourne tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
James misses with a two punch combination.
James walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bourne.

James drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

James is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bourne is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bourne has escaped and now he's on top!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bourne wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working.

James wants to hit a switch here but Bourne passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for James there!
James is wriggling around trying to escape.

James gets back to half guard.
James is refusing to be controlled, as Bourne sits in half guard.
James is trying to maintain the position but Bourne is very close to passing his half guard.
James moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bourne wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bourne looking to sit in guard and control but James gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
James postures up in Bourne's guard and throws a big left but Bourne blocks it.

James decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bourne, up you get!
Bourne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

James shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

James is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bourne doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time James.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jessie James dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bourne tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.

Bourne tries to sprawl but James drives through with a takedown into half guard.
James wants to pass the guard but Bourne is defending well.
James sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bourne defending well though.
James not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
James trying to control the pace.
Bourne throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Bourne is trying to control but James manages to pass to mount!
Bourne is squirming around, avoiding James's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bourne avoids a series of strikes thrown by James.

James looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

James stands up from mount. Strange move.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bourne.
James works the jab nicely.
Nice sprawl there from James as Bourne shoots in.

Bourne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James throws a big elbow that misses.
James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bourne is working an open guard so James takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Bourne.
James lands with a nice combination. Bourne backs away looking to recover.

Bourne gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows James to score an easy takedown into full guard.
James throwing strikes but missing.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Bourne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
James throws a strike but Bourne rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bourne forces his way into half guard.
James is staying active underneath Bourne, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are battling for position here. James manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
James tries to land a sweep but no joy.
James is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
James throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Bourne decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on James, up you get!

James gets a clinch.
Bourne is trying to break free.
James keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bourne's efforts to push away.

James has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bourne is trying to keep an underhook but James manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James is trying to work for a kimura but Bourne is defending well.

James is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bourne sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jessie James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


James is looking to clinch.
Bourne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Bourne persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing.
James has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
James passes the guard and advances to mount!

James is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bourne is surviving well by controlling James's body position as best he can.
Bourne tries to lock up and control but James gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bourne tries to hold on but James postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

James is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Bourne is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Bourne flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. James anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Bourne and secures both hooks! This could be bad! James slips an arm under Bourne chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. James has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. James is squeezing on Bourne like an anaconda would it's prey. Bourne fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jessie James!
During a confident post fight interview, Jessie James thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
