Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Torrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hazuka Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eddie Torrez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hazuka Oyama!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Torrez finds it's target.
Oyama tries to clinch up.
Oyama takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


It looks like Hazuka Oyama has been cut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Torrez.
Torrez lands with a shot to the body.
Hazuka Oyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Oyama.
Oyama shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Torrez sprawls well. Torrez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oyama gets slowly back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oyama moves in looking to clinch but Torrez pushes him off.
Oyama shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Torrez as he jumps to the side.

The fight stays on the outside here - Oyama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oyama shoots in and drives through. Torrez sprawls well.

Torrez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Oyama ducks straight into an uppercut from Torrez and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Oyama manages to regain guard straight away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Torrez drops back looking for a leg! Oyama is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oyama manages to kick Torrez off! Torrez jumps back into Oyama's guard.

A jab-cross combination lands for Torrez and sends Oyama crashing to the mat! Torrez follows him down to the mat - Oyama regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Torrez wants to work for an arm triangle but Oyama is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Torrez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oyama can do anything to dispel that myth.

Torrez is looking for a kimura but Oyama is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Torrez to get the leverage.

Oyama won't allow Torrez to pass to mount.
Torrez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oyama does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Oyama has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Torrez is trying to keep an underhook but Oyama manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Torrez looking to control but Oyama is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Oyama wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Torrez.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Torrez steps into range and cracks Oyama with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Oyama flops backwards and Torrez dives into his guard looking to finish!

Torrez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oyama can do to turn this around?

Oyama really wants to buck Torrez off and get back to his feet.
Torrez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Torrez wants to finish this one by submission but Oyama is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Torrez.
Oyama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Torrez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The cut above Hazuka Oyama's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Torrez throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Oyama because Torrez loaded up on that one.

Hazuka Oyama's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Oyama is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Oyama that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hazuka Oyama's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Eddie Torrez!
