PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noctis Perseus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Drabek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drabek has chosen Imagine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noctis Perseus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Drabek!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drabek tries to clinch but Perseus is having none of it.

Drabek scores with a takedown into Perseus's guard.
Perseus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drabek's guard.
Perseus postures up.
Drabek keeping full guard, as Perseus tries to pass.
Drabek wants to sweep here but Perseus controlling him for the moment.
Perseus wants to control from the top but Drabek keeps moving.
Perseus wants to pass the guard but Drabek is keeping the position.
Perseus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Perseus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perseus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Drabek closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Perseus quickly recovers to half guard.

Perseus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drabek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drabek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Drabek is nestled in close to Perseus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Drabek connects with a nice short shot to Perseus's temple.

Drabek looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Perseus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Drabek winds up and cracks Perseus with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Perseus wants to get back to full guard.
Drabek passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Drabek cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Perseus is bucking up trying to escape but Drabek cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Perseus is rocked!
Drabek cracks Perseus with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeff Drabek!
Our winner, Jeff Drabek, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
