Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ikuhisa Minowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent has chosen I'll be Back as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ikuhisa Minowa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Kent!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent loads up on a big right hand but Minowa slips the punch.
Kent throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Minowa sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kent moves into the clinch.
Minowa is trying to drag Kent to the mat but Kent just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kent feints a jab promting Minowa to slip. Kent then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Minowa slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Peter Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent thuds his right hand into Minowa's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kent comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kent misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Minowa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kent.
Minowa shoots for a takedown but Kent saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Minowa was well out of range. Poor timing from Kent.

Kent clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Minowa breaks from the clinch.
Minowa lands a jab to the head.
Kent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kent throws a right hand that misses

and Minowa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kent has a hand on Minowa's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Minowa takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Kent tries to reverse the position but Minowa maintains control.

Minowa is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Minowa!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ikuhisa Minowa!
A relieved looking Ikuhisa Minowa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
