PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Jorstain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bratislav Belic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorstain kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enemy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belic tries to clinch

and Jorstain counters with a shoot takedown. Belic fights it but they end up in guard.
Jorstain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belic is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jorstain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Belic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jorstain passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Belic wants to stand back up but Jorstain manages to pass into side control.
Belic is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jorstain off and has taken his back!
Jorstain turns into Belic and is now in his guard.
Belic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Belic tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jorstain forces his way into half guard.

Belic is trying to control but Jorstain passes into side control!
Jorstain wants to control but Belic is keeping him busy.
Belic is looking to reverse the position.

Jorstain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jorstain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jorstain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Belic wants to control but Jorstain postures up.

Jorstain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jorstain throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Belic works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jorstain is looking for a kimura but Belic is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jorstain to get the leverage.
Jorstain uses his free foot to push down on Belic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Belic.
Jorstain is in the full mount, landing strikes.

It looks like Bratislav Belic has been cut.

Jorstain is working for a guillotine from mount but Belic frees his head quite easily.
Jorstain looking to finish Belic with some ground and pound. This is bad for Belic!

Jorstain is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Belic to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Belic shrugs it off.
BOOM! Jorstain connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jorstain working for a guillotine from mount but Belic is in no mood to give up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jorstain lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Belic is rocked!

Jorstain lands a heavy elbow.
Belic is still in real trouble! Can Jorstain finish him?

Jorstain with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Belic seems to have recovered his senses.
Jorstain loads up with a big shot that hurts Belic! He's pulled Jorstain in close but Jorstain has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Belic survive? More strikes from Jorstain and Belic is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
