Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Sedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biggie Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smalls has chosen The Notorious B.I.G. - Somebody 's Gotta Die as his entrance music. Smalls has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sedov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smalls ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Smalls just misses with a punch to the body.

and Smalls counters with a nice uppercut.
Sedov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smalls counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Smalls cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smalls throws a hook but Sedov blocks it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sedov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Smalls to score with a decent uppercut.

and Smalls decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sedov's guard.
Sedov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smalls gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Smalls avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sedov is breathing heavily.
Sedov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Smalls throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smalls accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sedov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sedov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smalls gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smalls is working Sedov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Smalls's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Sedov is looking for a triangle but Smalls pushes his legs off easily.
Sedov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Smalls is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sedov.
Sedov manages to get back to half guard.
Smalls slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sedov is looking for a sweep. Smalls is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sedov trying to control but Smalls postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Biggie Smalls dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Smalls counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sedov thinking.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sedov.
Biggie Smalls seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sedov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Smalls.
Smalls keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sedov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Smalls lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sedov sprawling to the canvas. Smalls follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sedov hang on?
Sedov is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smalls scores with a big shot! Sedov's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Sedov! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
