The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessier steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Toyotasan. That one must have hurt.
Tessier takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Toyotasan feints and then cracks Tessier's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tessier down.
Toyotasan throws the kick towards the body but Tessier avoids it.
Toyotasan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tessier scores with a shot to the body.

Toyotasan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Toyotasan lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tessier.

Tessier successfully pulls guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tessier controls Toyotasan momentarily but Toyotasan frees himself.
Toyotasan trying to control the position from guard on top but Tessier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tessier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tessier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Toyotasan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tessier looking for a guillotine here but Toyotasan defends easily.

Tessier looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Toyotasan passes into half guard.
