Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johann Friden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Crackcorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johann Friden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Crackcorn!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Crackcorn as Friden shoots in.
Friden closes the distance but Crackcorn moves to the side

so Crackcorn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Friden will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Crackcorn trying to control but Friden is working from the bottom.

Crackcorn gets to his feet - Friden follows without any prompting.
Crackcorn throws a low kick but Friden moves out of range easily.
Friden fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Crackcorn shoots in and gets a takedown into Friden's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Crackcorn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Crackcorn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Friden manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Crackcorn has Friden in his guard.
Friden trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Crackcorn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Friden is controlling him.
Crackcorn is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Friden throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Friden trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Friden wants to control from the top but Crackcorn keeps moving.

Friden postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Friden gets the takedown into side control.
Friden throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Friden prevents Crackcorn from escaping the position.

Crackcorn wants to get back to his feet but Friden drags him back down.

Friden gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Friden jumps guard and drags Crackcorn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Crackcorn postures up in Friden's guard and throws a big left but Friden blocks it.
Crackcorn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Crackcorn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Friden is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Crackcorn, into his guard.
Crackcorn is controlling Friden's posture.

Friden is looking to advance position but Crackcorn has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Friden working to try and regain half guard.
Crackcorn takes Friden's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Friden is in trouble.

Crackcorn is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Friden is defending well though. Crackcorn let's go of the attempt for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Crackcorn has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Friden.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Friden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Friden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crackcorn's guard.
Friden is keen to just control but Crackcorn is a slippery customer.

Friden is trying to work for a kimura but Crackcorn is defending well.

Friden is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Crackcorn is pressing down on Friden's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Crackcorn kicks Friden off and gets to his feet.
Friden fails with a takedown attempt.
Crackcorn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johann Friden. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Friden will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Crackcorn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Friden manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Crackcorn forces his way into half guard.

Crackcorn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Friden defends it well.
Friden tries to roll over but Crackcorn keeps him under control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crackcorn scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Crackcorn wants to free his trapped foot but Friden is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Johnny Crackcorn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Friden is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Crackcorn breaks from the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Friden.
Crackcorn stuffs the takedown attempt from Friden. Friden gets slowly back to his feet.
Friden fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Crackcorn shoots in and bounces Friden off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Crackcorn trying to stand up but can't free himself from Friden's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Crackcorn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Friden!
Crackcorn wants to control the pace but Friden is squirming around nicely.

Crackcorn goes for an armbar but Friden turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Friden.
Crackcorn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Friden drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crackcorn looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crackcorn looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crackcorn!
Crackcorn wants to control but Friden is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Crackcorn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Crackcorn goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Friden rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Crackcorn's guard! Nice work there by Friden!

Friden gets to his feet - Crackcorn follows without any prompting.
Friden fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Friden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crackcorn swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Crackcorn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Friden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Friden lands in his opponent's guard.
Friden makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Friden has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Crackcorn is proving hard to escape from.

And that's the end of the fight!
Johnny Crackcorn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Crackcorn winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
