The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pantine closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Whitaker did well to prevent Pantine getting side control.
Pantine is looking to take a break and control but Whitaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Whitaker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pantine gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
