The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dahl takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dahl manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dahl fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dahl throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dahl off to one side.

Oh Dahl is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dahl dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Luciano Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dahl closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Dahl seems to have got his legs back now.
Dahl won't allow Silva to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dahl drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dahl jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Silva has momentary wrist control but Dahl slips an elbow through the middle.
Silva wants to stand but Dahl is controlling the position.
